Placing a bet on bet365 is pretty simple for an experienced gambler, but for anybody new to betting it can be daunting, so below we have put together a guide on how to place a bet on bet365.

Bookmakers don’t want to make this difficult for you to do, as they want your business.

Assuming you’ve already signed up and funded your account, to place a bet on bet365, just follow these simple steps:-

  1. Log In
  2. Choose an Event
  3. Pick the Market from your Event
  4. Stake Amount and Place Bet

In the below step by step guide, I’m using football. But the same rules will apply to all sports and events, whether it be cricket, golf, or even politics.

How to bet on bet365 football

It might seem basic, but you have to start at the beginning. Although it is the case that you can go through the process of selecting your bet before you log in.

As you can see on the screenshot below, you simply click where it says ‘Log In’ on the right hand side of the screen, and enter your details.

Choose An Event

Using the available menus on bet365, click on the event you wish to bet on.

All the different sports are listed down the left hand side of the screen. Alternatively, live sports are listed in the centre of the screen, while popular events are listed on the right (this is on the desktop).

Pick The Market From Your Event

Bet365 has a huge number of sports betting markets for you to choose from.

In the below screenshot I’ve navigated to the soccer match between Liverpool and Manchester City.

I’ve now clicked on the match to bring up all the bets available.

I don’t want to bet on the match outcome as I’m not sure who will win, instead I think there will be goals, so I am going to bet on over 2.5 goals at odds of 8/13.

You can see where I’ve circled the bet in red on the below screenshot.

Stake Amount And Place Bet

Now I’ve found the event and market I wish to bet on, I want to now actually place my bet.

On the below screenshot I have clicked on over 2.5 goals at odds of 8/13. This has seen the market I’m betting on turning white, and has also opened a ‘pop up box’ on my screen.

I’ve highlighted both in the red circles.

In the circle at the bottom of the screen is the pop up box where you need to place your bet.

Starting on the left, where the screen is dark, I have placed £10.00 on my bet. On the right hand side of the box, where the background is green, it says place bet.

Before you do anything else, check the amount in the left hand box is correct. You don’t want to be putting an extra zero on the end by accident.

Once you’ve done that, simply click on ‘Place Bet’ in the green box to confirm your bet.

How Much Will My bet365 Bet Win?

You may see that in the ‘Place Bet’ box, it has a total underneath where it says Place Bet. This is the amount you will get back should your bet win.

So to clarify. The box on the left tells you what you will lose. While the box on the right tells you what you will win.

What is the Maximum Bet on Bet365?

Bet365 does not disclose its maximum bet limit to the public. Users can try to figure out what is the maximum bet on Bet365 by placing a significantly-sized bet on an event.

Should the bet fail to process, the Bet365 maximum bet limit has been reached.

Only the Trading Team at Bet365 know the exact maximum bet limit on the platform.

What Does OTB Mean on Bet365?

When a price in betting is OTB this means that it is ‘Off The Board’. An OTB price has been taken down by the traders to work on it and alter it before betting is allowed to resume on that outcome.

An example of this is during ‘In-play’ football when something influential happens, such as a sending-off. The odds will be taken off the board before they are amended and reappear on the website.

Bet365 OTB selections

When betting with Bet365 selections will be unavailable and disappear for a number of reasons.

These include but aren’t limited to, odds not yet available, as it’s too early before the game, a very low odds outcome being taken down to avoid the risk of Bet365 having to pay out on too many large bets, an influential incident occurring that necessitates immediate attention from the trading team,

OTB in America

In America OTB can also mean ‘Off-the-track’. This literally refers to betting on a race that is not taking place at a formal racetrack and can also be used to describe bets on racing events that are slightly less well recognised. If a bookmaker offers OTB, they’re probably quite serious about their racing book.
